Good Canadian Beer (and Peaches from Ontario) - Nova Scotia Still Life
This is a funny story. The remnants of the storm lingered on for another day, so I set up this still life inside, but when I went to set up my easel to start to paint it, I discovered that the easel had been so battered by the howling wind and the pull of an umbrella I had clamped to it during the previous day"s painting of the yellow lobster boat that a set screw on one of the easel's legs no longer held the leg extended, and the easel couldn't stand up. So I packed it up and took it to the Co-op in town, where manager David MacDonald figured out a solution. Back I went to my still life, and painted the view of Port Hood Island in the background when the weather finally cleared.Thank you, David! Oil on panel, 11" x 14".
