The Rock, Morro Bay
11' x 14", Oil on Panel. Known as The Seven Sisters, there is a string of huge volcanic "plugs" along Highway 101 in Central California. The Morro Rock is one of these, and it absolutely dominates the town, and harbor, of Morro Bay. In the previous painting, "Morro Bay Sunset", I painted the back side of this rock.
