California Series Original Oil Paintings

Gentle Winter Sunset : As I was painting this at North El Portal in Encinitas, a cutie pie little boy came up to watch me. When I turned around to talk to him, I inadvertently knocked the painting off the easel and it landed face first on the ground. The expression of horror on the little boy's face was just so pure! Luckily, this has happened to me before, so I assured him it would be alright, picked the painting up and brushed off most of the sand, and used the remaining blur to build upon for what, nevertheless, was a very gentle winter sunset. The wind once took a painting off the easel for a sail in New Mexico, but I retrieved it and completed it, and my dear friend Wendy ended up naming that painting True Grit. 9"x12"; Oil Painting on Panel. Offered unframed.
